Scrapbooking

In November I showed my friend, Vin-Van, my story for my Creative Writing portfolio. She read it and liked it so much that for her birthday, she requested that I write her a similar story about ponies. I thought she was joking at first, but then I thought about it. I decided to do it, but it would be late because of deadlines that were approaching, so I said I’d have it for Christmas. Unfortunately, I ran out of money by then so I couldn’t buy the scrapbook. I think she thinks I’ve forgotten about it. I don’t want to half-ass it though. I want to make it into a proper book, but all of the scrapbooks I’ve seen so far are horrible. So I think I’m gonna make it from scratch. I know exactly how I want it to look, but most of the time, the things I make don’t turn out nearly as nice as I expect them to look…

So much has happened this past year, I honestly can’t remember most of it. I know there have been happy times and sad times and I know that I’ve grown somewhat, and managed to open doors for myself.

With a new year comes new year’s resolutions, I think I need to go back and review the ones from last year:

1. To learn to drive - After many lessons, I just need to take (and pass) my test! :D

2. To go to the gym at least 2/3 times a week(starting from Jan. 9th) - Okay this started out well in the beginning, but then I got reaaaallyy self conscious about the other people in the gym. I planned to start again in September, but with the driving lessons, I couldn’t afford it D:

3. To pass first year of university - Done this with a 2:1 Oh yeahh!

4. To save money for a holiday preferably in summer - This COULD have happened. I had the money but no one to go with, and then I just ended up spending the money on…I don’t know what to be honest xD

5. To strive harder to find a job - I found a job thanks to Linny! But I’m far from happy with it

6. To be happ(y)ier - Um… I think I am? I met some amazing people, have tightened bonds and broken bonds. I’m also more sure of what I career path I want to pursue thanks to the last month or so. The more I think about my life the more I come up with ways to improve it. At the beginning of last year though, I didn’t think it would have improved this much. Life throws surprises at you so overall I think I am happier than last year :)

I think the resolutions from last year can apply this year, I really do want to go somewhere this year.

In general, I just want to save money.
Pass my driving test.
Gain more work experience.
GO TO THE GYM!

I can’t think of any more, but I’ll try to think more positively this year. It’s not like I’m expecting my life to change, just to improve.
